  • Can participants of the Peer Mentoring Program become ambassadors for my program/service?
    Currently, Mentors and Mentor Leaders are ambassadors for the Professional Purpose and Emerging Leaders Program. To enquire about our participants becoming ambassadors for your program, please contact us at peermentoring@swin.edu.au. These requests will be subject to approval by the Student Partnerships Manager and the Director of Student Engagement.
  • Can I recruit volunteers through the Peer Mentoring Program?
    When looking for volunteers, we recommend contacting Swinburne Student Life Volunteer Program. You can find more information about this here. You can also email volunteer@swin.edu.au.
  • Can I request Mentor Leaders to work for my program/project? E.g., student panels, campus tours, LAS, Strategies for Success.
    Our Mentor Leaders can be requested for additional programs and projects. To enquire, please contact us at peermentoring@swin.edu.au.
  • I want to promote my program/service to the Peer Mentoring Program. Who do I speak to?
    The Peer Mentoring Program has a Program Structure, which covers weekly topics and themes. These topics and themes include services and other programs at Swinburne. If you want to be included or have your program promoted, please contact us at peermentoring@swin.edu.au.

  • Can I recommend a student to become a Mentor/Mentor Leader?
    Yes, you can! Direct students to our mentoring platform Chronus. They can find out more about the program by reading the user handbooks or clicking the 'Find out more' button.
    Mentors are recruited every semester. They will need to apply at https://swi.nu/newrequest. All Mentors require a free Volunteer Working with Children Check (see our guide here).
    Mentor Leaders are recruited at the start of each year via SwinEmploy. This is a paid casual position. They will need to express their interest by contacting us at peermentoring@swin.edu.au. All Mentor Leaders require an Employee Working with Children Check.
