Frequently Asked Questions
How does it work?
Once students and alumni have registered their profiles, our system automatically recommends matches between mentors (alumni or industry) and mentees (students or alumni) based on the criteria and experience each have listed. Students then choose their own mentors and initiate a connection for a one on one 30-minute chat online or on-going meetings, over the phone or in person*.
*Disclaimer: Due to safety guidelines, we recommend that all mentoring meetings take place virtually to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. If in-person meetings are necessary, please follow all relevant safety protocols and guidelines.
Who can be a mentee?
Mentees need to be 18 years and over and currently enrolled or graduated from Swinburne.
How do I get the most out of this program?
